During more than 40 years of production, Iveco has pushed the boundaries of innovation, functionality and versatility with this model, anticipating the growing needs of customers. Over the years, the Iveco Daily is, in fact, the only model in its segment of light commercial vehicles, available with a total permissible weight of up to 7 tons, which is why it has become a reference point in the segment, and at the same time, it is one of the few, which is available in a version on natural gas.
The Jubilee Daily is out in the 35C18H V version (gross weight 3.5 tons, high body), powered by a 4-cylinder, turbocharged engine with a working volume of 3 liters, a power of 176 HP Heavy Duty, which meets Euro VI E standards.
“We are extremely proud of this important milestone for our factory, which has more than 40 years of Daily production behind it. This vehicle represents a reference point in the market for its fundamental features, such as versatility, power, robustness and performance, which have always set it apart from other vehicles in the segment. With increasingly advanced connectivity technologies, to meet the business needs of customers, the Daily offers sustainability and traditional values, as it is a good travel partner, efficient in operation and with low maintenance costs” explains Giorgio Ricci, manager of the IVECO Suzzara factory.
The production team at the Suzzara factory works in perfect synergy at every stage of the production process – from the assembly of the chassis and cab body, to the painting and installation of the transmission, right through to the installation of the interior lining and the final inspection. This factory also assembles special versions for military and firefighting applications. Since 2007, the factory has been operating under World Class Manufacturing (WCM), a production system that aims for zero error, loss and accidents. It includes a process of continuous development, aimed at involving every individual worker in the production process.
The plant recently won the ‘Special Award: Excellent Culture of Improvement’ awarded by Agamus Consult, an international management consulting company, and the German magazine Automobil Produktion.
In accordance with the motto “Mastering the unpredictable” (Mastering the unpredictable), with the aim of improving the technology and work environment within the difficult market and global situation, the Suzzara factory uses the strategic leadership of its team to direct its people and processes, transforming VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty , Complexity, Ambiguity) into an opportunity for continuous improvement.
