{"id":4264,"date":"2025-05-06T14:40:06","date_gmt":"2025-05-06T12:40:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euromodus.ba\/?p=4264"},"modified":"2025-06-30T16:52:18","modified_gmt":"2025-06-30T14:52:18","slug":"iveco-at-the-tour-deurope","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euromodus.ba\/en\/iveco-at-the-tour-deurope\/","title":{"rendered":"IVECO at the Tour d\u2019Europe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>IVECO at the Tour d\u2019Europe: Biomethane Leads the Transition to Sustainable Mobility<\/b><i><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IVECO has been at the forefront of alternative propulsion for over 20 years and is now committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 through a technology-neutral, multi-energy strategy, in which advanced biofuels play a key role.<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><\/i><br \/>\n<i><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Biomethane is already a viable solution, capable of delivering near-zero average CO<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2082<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> emissions -without compromise.<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><\/i><br \/>\n<i><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IVECO is participating in the Tour d\u2019Europe with its S-Way truck powered by biomethane, showcasing sustainable mobility on the road across Italy, Austria, Germany, France, and Belgium.<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Turin, 6 May 2025<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IVECO is taking part in the Tour d\u2019Europe 2025 &#8211; an initiative involving the entire European automotive value chain, with over 20 partners &#8211; aimed at raising awareness about the role of renewable fuels in achieving climate neutrality by 2050, as outlined in the European Green Deal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IVECO joins the Tour- which began last March in Madrid &#8211; with its new S-Way LNG truck powered by biomethane. The company is actively demonstrating that renewable gas effectively reduces CO<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2082<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> emissions and offers a concrete, scalable solution for decarbonising commercial road transport. Thanks to a well-established and expanding European refuelling network of around 800 stations, international routes can already be covered using a truck powered exclusively by bio-LNG.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Running through June, the project commercial vehicles powered by biomethane, HVO, and bioethanol travel across Europe, with events fostering dialogue between supply chain players and policymakers on the effectiveness of renewable fuels and their decarbonization potential for the transport sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the Tour, Bosch\u2019s <\/span><b>Digital Fuel Twin<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> methodology will be tested &#8211; a solution that enables digital traceability of renewable fuel and carbon emissions across the entire supply chain via data exchange between vehicle and fueling station.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through our participation in the Tour d\u2019Europe, we aim to show that biomethane is a practical, ready-to-use solution for long-haul operations &#8211; offering uncompromised performance, competitive Total Cost of Ownership, and a significant reduction in CO<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2082<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> emissions. The IVECO S-Way makes this opportunity real for our customers. The arrival of the Tour in Brussels for the closing stop is a call to action for European lawmakers to ensure biofuels are duly considered in CO<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2082<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> regulations for their potential to decarbonize freight logistics<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u201d said <\/span><b>Giandomenico Fioretti, Head of Alternative Propulsion Business Development at IVECO.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Biomethane: A Concrete Example of Circular Economy<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Biomethane, produced from organic waste and residues, is a renewable and circular fuel that transforms waste into clean energy\u2014delivering environmental, economic, and social benefits. It is a prime example of the circular economy applied to transport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fully compatible with Europe\u2019s existing LNG infrastructure, biomethane is available now for immediate use. IVECO is working closely with leading European gas providers to ensure that all routes covered during the Tour \u2013 across Italy, Austria, Germany, France, and Belgium<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are powered 100% by bio-LNG.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following the press conference held at Bosch\u2019s headquarters in Turin, the IVECO S-Way powered by biomethane was displayed at the Enilive station in Via Botticelli.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>A Pioneer in Sustainable Heavy Transport, and a Champion of the Multi-Energy Approach<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IVECO has been pioneering alternative propulsion for over two decades &#8211; from its first natural gas vehicles to today\u2019s full LNG\/CNG and bio-LNG\/CNG range &#8211; consistently leading the way toward more sustainable heavy transport and addressing the challenges of the energy transition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participation in the Tour d\u2019Europe aligns with IVECO\u2019s broader multi-energy strategy, which aims to provide diverse, mature technologies that meet the decarbonization needs of the transport industry. Equipped with the new 500 hp xCURSOR 13 Natural Gas engine by FPT Industrial and a range of up to 1,700 km, the truck delivers top-tier performance while significantly lowering its environmental footprint.
